The North Carolina Bankers Association (NCBA) hosted a ribbon-cutting reception on April 14 to celebrate the opening of its new Learning Center, marking a significant investment in the future of workforce development for North Carolina’s banking industry.

The event brought together bankers, partners, and community supporters for an afternoon focused on innovation, collaboration, and expanding access to professional training. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the new facility, designed to serve as a central hub for education, career development, and industry engagement.

During the reception, NCBA shared updates on upcoming programs that will be hosted in the space, including the launch of its first BankWork$ cohort, scheduled to begin next month. Guests were also given a preview of the association’s new podcast studio, which will support future thought leadership and industry conversations.

The Learning Center reflects NCBA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the pipeline of talent entering the banking industry by providing accessible, high-quality training opportunities. Through this partnership, CareerWork$ is helping expand access to career pathways that lead to long-term success in financial services.

“Through our partnership with NCBA, we’re building stronger connections between talent and opportunity in Raleigh, expanding access to sustainable careers while supporting the future of the banking workforce,” said Latoya Edmond, Executive Director of CareerWork$.
