CareerWork$ programs connect young adults who want stable, lasting careers with opportunities for advancement directly with employers who need their skills, right in their communities. BankWork$ and CareerWork$ Medical graduates find a pathway to fulfilling, lasting careers in customer-facing roles in banking and non-clinical healthcare, and enjoy stable incomes and benefits. CareerWork$ Ready graduates are prepared to find roles in any industry.
We partner with local workforce development organizations, nonprofits, and schools to run the training programs, and engage employer partners in the community to match great hires with great jobs.
What to expect
Our free, eight-week industry specific career training programs provide the skills needed for any entry-level banking or non-clinical healthcare position with career potential.
Classes are typically three days per week. Times and days may vary by location.
Getting hired for a lasting career
In our training, participants learn industry-specific skills for on-the-job success, and the communications and people skills needed to succeed as a professional anywhere. They learn how to create a positive impression, build relationships with clients and co-workers, and problem-solve. They practice speaking confidently in front of a group, interviewing successfully, and giving and receiving constructive feedback. Participants are also guided to identify and apply transferable customer-facing skills from past employment to future careers.
After eight weeks of intensive training, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of participants during a combined graduation ceremony and personalized job fair. Graduates are guaranteed an interview with each employer partner, and have ongoing coaching and job placement support.
Eligibility
Participants must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or GED, be fluent in written and spoken English, and have basic computer skills.
Standard background checks and other restrictions may apply.
