Training Opportunities

Images of trainees.

In a constantly changing work environment, the key to landing a good job is having the right skills at the right time. CareerWorks oversees several federally funded programs that pay for training to help people become more employable. There are eligibility criteria to access these training funds, and money each year is limited. Become a member and discuss your options with an employment counselor.

How do I get training?

STEP 1:   Become a member by filling out a membership form. (Its free!)

STEP 2:   Attend one of our upcoming orientation meetings. Our orientation schedule is listed in our Calendar. Call (508) 513-3400 to reserve your seat in class.

STEP 3:   Fill out a Career Action Plan at the end of the orientation meeting. Indicate that you are interested in training.

STEP 4:   You will be assigned an employment counselor, who will work with you to determine if you are eligible for training under our current programs and what options are available that would be most beneficial for you.

STEP 5:   You select your school and training program from a list of qualified vendors and begin training for a new career.
